I would like to give the wood opportunity to show its unique grains, colors and patterns. For this I am looking for massive pieces of oak wood and place them in different depths and angles together. This work of art then comes in a simple corpus of the same wood which emphasizes the uniqueness of the fronts.

Born in Denmark, Morten is a designer, artist and loves to explore the world. When he designs collections from sideboards to desks, his work is indeed in the tradition of Scandinavian design. But a home should have soul, that’s important to Morten. As a member of the KARE family, he develops furniture that combines function with a unique character and selected materials. A collaboration that stands for the joy of living!

NATURAL BEAUTY
Wood is like nature itself – unmistakable – and no surface resembles another.
The material is the main protagonist in the CONCERTINA series. For the fronts of the Concertina series. Morten selected pieces of ash wood and put them together at different angles and depths. The simple body emphasises the uniqueness of the front.
